Looks like my subscription finally ran out so it's a boring backdrop for all ya'll! XD
I'm finally wrapping up my windshield commission batch (THANK YOU ALL AGAIN WHO HELPED ME OUT.) Ni-san has a new glass and is safe to be on the road again. I couldn't have done it so quickly without your guys' help. Eternal gratitude ;__; This community really supports it's artists, that's for sure!
Gonna be opening up new slots as I'm on the final piece, which will be a $15 sketch and it had me thinking...
When I do a color piece for someone, I always hand them the HD size of the piece so they always have the option to take it into a print or drug store to get it printed up if they so chose, but I feel as though the sketch portion of my commissions don't really get as much limelight as the others. (not that I should complain, I love coloring my pieces!) Even if someone buys just the lineart from me, they can get an HD size that you could, I don't know, color at home if you were to print it out like a coloring book! But I realize that given my current setup I don't have a scanner out where I'm at to get a clear image of a sketch that I would do. "Well why not do digital sketches, Sarah? You do as part of your steps for your color pieces." The problem is my digital sketches, while efficient, aren't really as polished or pretty as what I can do in a sketchbook. Whereas with my digital sketches, they end up looking more like a sloppy concept stage than anything.
So I think to give my sketch realm a little more love, I'm offering to mail out the original copy to anyone who purchases a sketch from me. It might encourage those of you who don't really have $30 or $40 to spare for one of my pricier color images but would still like to have something to hold onto that's not just digital. Hang it on your fridge or your wall! I won't mind! <3 Just some food for thought.
Let the slot filling begin! I think I'll do 6 this round if anyone is interested. Please comment here or send me a note and then I'll update this with my next workload!
