Been LOTS of activity over here this weekend! Jeeez!
Hi everyone....*sheepish wave*
I know it's been a while since I've been here. I've actually been pretty busy with some stuff outside of my little art bubble. But I also have been training diligently with a new tablet that I purchased back in February (Or was it March?)
I highly recommend it. It's the Cintiq Wacom Companion and it is AMAZING. It's essentially everything I asked the artist gods above to provide in a tablet. It's a portable computer with windows 8 installed. (there's also the android option) The pen is super sensitive and the texture of drawing on it is similar to drawing on a marker board, so it takes some getting used to! The main selling points to this beast have to easily be it's mobility and independent function of needing a PC to operate at all. You can purchase a separate keyboard which I also recommend as it takes some getting used to operating Photoshop CS6 without a keyboard right there at your fingertips. Plus the on-screen keyboard takes up most of the screen, so good luck trying to just communicate via chat with anyone on it, let alone see what your'e doing.
I'll be cuing up some pictures throughout the next few weeks of things I have been working on since the tablet arrived at my home. I went from practicing on manga stills, to tracing over my own sketches that I've had archived forever in my desk. I've gotten pretty used to the way this tablet draws that I haven't even needed regular paper to start the sketching process. I'm killing less trees, yay!
You'll also notice some graphic changes all over the place and a lot of my gallery has been swapped around. I've cleared my "Featured" section of what I deem old school art to make room for what I can do with my new tools. So definitely keep an eye out for new pieces to hit my gallery!
I HAVE ALSO OPENED UP SHOP FOR COMMISSIONS. You'll also notice a change in commission prices. Keep in mind I don't have a pricing system based off of how many characters, but has base prices of WHAT type of commission you'd like. Just simply add $5 to each additional character you'd love to add to your own commission to the base price and you've got a good idea on what your quote will be! Please don't forget to utilize the commission application located below my journal entries on the main page of my DeviantART account. Thanks!
I missed you guys out there! It's nice to be back. ♥
